Why we exist
Miles of Love 9-2-5 was created from family, love, and a commitment to supporting children with autism and special educational needs. It's named for two boys in our founder's family: her cousin Myles in Dallas and her nephew Ryshad in Iowa — 925 miles apart, and both the heart of this work.
Those 925 miles represent the distance so many families feel when searching for guidance, clarity, and support in the special-education world — the gap between a worried parent and the answers they need.
Miles of Love 9-2-5 exists to close that distance.

Consultant & IEP advocate
Bringing it all together for families through Miles of Love 9-2-5.
My path to advocacy began long before I ever sat in an IEP meeting. I've always been drawn to helping others find their voice — especially families navigating the world of special education.
I started my career as a special-education teacher, working with students whose strengths often went unseen. Every day taught me something new about patience, creativity, and the power of believing in a child's potential. Those classroom experiences shaped how I see education — not as a system, but as a partnership built on trust and understanding.
Before teaching, I worked in social services, supporting families through challenges that required compassion and clear communication. That time showed me how deeply connected school, home, and community truly are — and how important it is to make sure every parent feels heard.
Today, as a special-education consultant and IEP advocate, I bring all those lessons together. Through Miles of Love 9-2-5, I help parents prepare before and after meetings, communicate confidently with schools, and ensure their child's needs are met with care and respect.
This work is personal to me. It's about standing beside families with calm, experienced guidance — turning confusion into clarity and advocacy into action. Every mile of love represents the distance we travel together to make sure every student gets the support they deserve.

Why families choose us
Navigating special education can feel overwhelming and lonely. It doesn't have to be. Here's what makes working with us different.
We've sat where you're sitting. Every conversation starts with listening, never judgment.
No two children are alike — so no two plans we build are, either.
We know IEP law, school processes, and how to keep meetings focused on your child.
Every strategy, goal, and session is measured by one thing: is it helping your child thrive?
Parents, guardians, siblings, caregivers — we support the whole team around the student.
Warm doesn't mean casual. You get organized, prepared, professional support at every step.
The process
You don't need to figure out the whole journey today. You just need the next step — and we'll walk it with you.
Step 1
A relaxed 30-minute conversation. Tell us about your child, your worries, and your goals. No paperwork, no pressure.
Step 2
We review your child's records, evaluations, and current IEP (if there is one) to see the full picture — strengths first.
Step 3
Together we map out clear next steps: what to request, what to prepare, and how tutoring or advocacy fits in.
Step 4
Meetings, sessions, emails, follow-ups — we stay beside you as the plan comes to life, adjusting as your child grows.
Step 5
Every milestone matters. We track wins, celebrate them loudly, and set the next goal together.
Kind words
For the first time, I walked out of an IEP meeting feeling heard instead of overwhelmed. Having someone beside me who knew exactly what to ask changed everything.
Jasmine R.
Parent of a 3rd grader
The tutoring sessions are the highlight of my son's week. She meets him where he is, celebrates every win, and his confidence has grown so much.
Marcus T.
Father of a student with autism
I finally understand what my daughter's IEP actually says — and what to do when the school isn't following it. I only wish we had found this support sooner.

The real thing
“Good job working with your small group — you're so patient! Students were having fun with shapes.” A real staff note about the patience and heart behind Miles of Love 9-2-5.

Questions, answered
These are the questions parents ask us most. If yours isn't here, ask away — the consultation is free, and there are no silly questions when it comes to your child.
An IEP — Individualized Education Program — is a legal document that describes the special education services, supports, and goals a school must provide for your child. Every IEP is (and should be) unique to the student. If reading yours feels overwhelming, that's exactly what we're here for: we'll walk through it with you, page by page, in plain language.
Let's talk
Tell us a little about your child and what's on your mind. We'll reply within one business day. If it feels easier to talk first, book a free consultation and skip the form entirely.
